At SchoolPro Safety, we believe that everyone working in a school has a responsibility to help keep children safe. Asthma is one of the most common long-term medical conditions in schools, and staff confidence and awareness can be critical in preventing serious harm during an asthma emergency.
This Asthma Awareness course provides essential knowledge for school staff who need to understand what asthma is and how it affects children. It covers common symptoms, triggers, and treatments, helping staff recognise the early signs of an asthma attack and respond quickly and appropriately.
The course focuses on clear, practical guidance rather than medical complexity, ensuring staff know what to do, when to act, and when to seek further help. By improving understanding and confidence, it supports safer day-to-day care and effective emergency response in school settings.
Course duration: 30 minutes (approximately)
Aimed at: All school employees — teaching and support staff — who may be responsible for the care or supervision of children with asthma.
On completion of the course you will receive a SchoolPro TLC certificate of completion.
