Description
Working at height is one of the most significant risks in schools. Even simple tasks such as putting up displays, changing light fittings, or accessing storage can result in serious injury if not managed correctly. This course provides schools with the knowledge and practical understanding needed to plan, supervise, and carry out work at height safely and in compliance with the law.
Participants will learn how to assess risks, select suitable equipment, and ensure that staff have the right level of competency for each task. The course also highlights when work should be avoided, redesigned, or completed by trained contractors. By promoting a proactive and consistent approach, it helps schools reduce accidents and create a safer working environment.
Course duration: 1–2 hours
Aimed at: Site managers, health and safety leads, and staff with a specific need to work at height.
