Hours: Ideally 25-30 hours per week and/or term-time only, although we are open to discussing alternative arrangements, including full-time, part-time, school-hours, and flexible working patterns for exceptional candidates.
About the Role:
We are looking for organised, friendly, and proactive individuals to join our growing Data Protection Team.
This roles are ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, communicating with clients, and keeping things organised. You will be one of the first points of contact for schools and trusts, supporting clients by telephone and email, arranging meetings, coordinating workloads, and assisting with data protection processes.
No formal data protection qualifications are required. We are looking for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills who is keen to learn and develop. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, with opportunities to build specialist knowledge and develop your career within SchoolPro TLC.
You will work closely with our Data Protection team and Administration Manager as part of a supportive organisation that values initiative, flexibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Role Purpose:
To provide high-quality administrative and customer support to the Data Protection Team, helping schools and trusts receive an excellent service while supporting Subject Access Requests, redaction activities, compliance administration, and day-to-day client communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a first point of contact for schools, trusts, and other clients via telephone and email.
- Monitor and manage team mailboxes, ensuring enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally.
- Arrange meetings, audits, training sessions, and client reviews.
- Prepare Subject Access Request (SAR) packs and supporting documentation.
- Support the administration of Subject Access Requests and other information rights requests.
- Assist with document review and preparation for redaction activities.
- Track deadlines and ensure client actions are completed on time.
- Maintain accurate records across company systems and databases.
- Support the preparation of reports, client communications, and compliance documentation.
- Build positive relationships with schools, academy trusts, and partner organisations.
- Provide administrative support to Data Protection Officers and the wider team.
- Contribute to service improvements and operational efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential
- Experience in an administrative, office support, customer service, school administration, or similar role.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional and friendly telephone manner.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Desirable
- Experience working within education, local government, professional services, or a compliance-related environment.
- Experience handling confidential records or personal data.
- Knowledge of GDPR or data protection principles.
- Experience supporting customer enquiries, complaints, or casework.
- Experience with CRM, ticketing, or document management systems.
