With over 20 years of experience in data protection and information management, Tanya has established a robust career in both the private and public sectors. Starting in the private sector, Tanya played a pivotal role in introducing and implementing the Data Protection Act 1998, delivering tailored training programs to UK and pan-European entities. In 2015, Tanya leveraged her experience with the 1998 Act to prepare the organisation for the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulations 2016.
Transitioning to the public sector, Tanya took on the role of Information Manager, where she implemented a cutting-edge records management system, enabling real-time file access without the need for archival retrieval. Tanya’s expertise extends to liaising with the Information Commissioner on high-profile data breaches, showcasing her ability to handle complex and sensitive issues, and responding to intricate SARs and FOI requests.
